Kid's Yoga
4/21/06
I
am not currently teaching any Children’s
Classes other than the Mommy and Me. However there is a
class being held at the
Pacific
Cultural
Center
on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 to 7pm. They are located on
Broadway and Seabright if you want to pick up a schedule to confirm
the times. They also hold an adult class at that time so you
can practice while your child is playing and “yoga”ing. I
hope this helps. Let me know if you are interested in setting
up a private session with a few friends with kids in the same age
group. I charge $60/hr. but with a few parents involved it can
reduce the cost of the lesson dramatically.
Peace
12/13/05 Happy
Holidays!
I have had a busy fall season with the wee little
ones and their moms in the Friday morning class. I have not
begun a new Kid's Class due to my busy schedule. However, I
would like you to know about a Kid's Class that I started a
couple years ago over at the Pacific Cultural Center (at the corner
of Seabright and Broadway). It is still going strong
with Mangala Norskog teaching. The class is held on Wednesday
evenings from 5:30-7pm along with two separate adult classes held at
the same time. This way parents and kids can practice in the
same building! Yeah, Yoga is for Everybody!!!
I hope this helps those of you interested in
practicing your poses!
Namaste.
9/8/05 Hello!
I hope you all had an amazing Summer. I sure
did. I am considering starting up some Kid's classes this
season. If you have interest, please let me know.
Otherwise, you can check out Heather Houston and her Children's
Singing Circles. I hope to see you soon...

5/17/05 Howdy Kiddos-
I am looking forward to a new and exciting class series to be
offered with Heather Houston (Yoga Instructor/ Vocalist). We
are calling it YogaSong. We will be combining a little Yogaasana
(poses) with a Voice Lessons (Singing). It will be offered
over four full weeks in August. The location will be in Downtown
Santa Cruz for a very accessible location to all areas of town. There
will be two different age groups involved, ranging from 5-11 years
old. We look forward to sharing new information with you
as it arises. Start to look for our flyers around town and check
back here for further updates.
Also, Moms with newborns (8weeks to just walking), I am currently
teaching an ongoing Mommy and Me class at the Vets Hall. We
meet for an hour on Thursdays between 2:30 and 3:30pm. Please
feel free to call 588-4577 for further details.
Have a fun time this season with all the beautiful
flowers! Peace.

Hey Kids-
Well, as you may know, I've been sick for a couple of weeks now. I'm
feeling better everyday though. I sure hope none of you had
the same problems in the tummy. We'll be making up missed
classes in February (2nd and the 9th). Please join us next
week as we play and do our yoga as a group.
See you soon!
Howdy-
Our new Kid's Yoga series begins this week on Wednesday the 5th
and runs through the 26th. I look forward to seeing the familiar
faces and maybe some new friends at the same time 4-5pm.
Don't forget to tell your younger brothers and sisters about the
Mommy and Me class on Tuesdays 10-11am. Look forward to a
Mom and Tot class (for the tricky two year olds) in the near future.
Be Happy,
Kate
Namaste,
The Kid's Yoga Class at the Om Room has been postponed due to
a low turn out last week. We sure did have fun though! If
I get enough calls from students that are interested I'd like to
continue it as a 6 week series starting on the 27th. I need 6 kids
minimum to sign up for the entire series ($60), then we can go
ahead with the class. Please call me with any questions and
to express your interest 588-4577.
Bye for now,
Kate
Hello,
The Yogaplay Series is beginning the end of July for various ages. Check
out the flyer by clicking YogaPlay. We look forward to seeing
a few faces we've been missing.
Namaste,
Kate and Tim
Howdy Kids!
Well I'm off on a vacation for a week. I've set up different
substitute teachers for you while I'm gone.
At the Good Sheppard School on Monday Feb. 23rd Christine
Fiorentino will work with the 5th and 6th graders. For those
of you at the Mission Hill School, Rachael Shishido will be teaching
your class for three weeks in a row (Feb. 18th, 25th, and March
3rd). At the Pacific Cultural Center on Wednesday nights,
Treea Clements will teach for two weeks Feb.18th and 23rd. Tim
will return to teach solo on the 3rd of March and I will return
March 10th to team teach with him.
I'll miss you all a lot! Have fun with your classes and
be good to your teachers.
Namaste.
Happy New Year!
Hope you all had fun during the holiday break. The new semester
is staring and I'm excited to be teaching at three schools. The
Good Sheppard classes begin on Monday, January 5th, the Spring
Hill classes on the 12th, and the Mission School sometime
near the end of the month. The first Kid's Yoga class in
a few weeks will be held this Wednesday the 7th at PCC.
Look forward to seeing a few familiar faces!
Hello!
I hope you all had a super Thanksgiving and are looking forward
to more Winter celebrations. So many things happening, we
are such busy bees.
Well I certainly had fun with all you kids during the after school
program at the Spring Hill School. I'll plan on seeing you
all next semester. Until then, feel free to join us Wednesday
nights for Kid's Yoga at the PCC studio. Remember, your parents
can come to take a separate class while we play.
I'm concluding my elective gym class at the Good Sheppard School
with the seventh and eighth graders. Good luck to all of
those older students that I won't be working with next year. Keep
stretching and breathing! I look forward to hangin' with
the fifth and sixth graders in the new year. Think fun!
If you would like to have yoga at your school in the next year,
be sure to email me and let me know where and I'll see what we
can do. A class can be after school or held during the school
day as part of a gym class.
Please note, the PCC classes will be canceled on December 24th
and 31st. Enjoy your winter break. Happy New Year!
Happy Fall!
The Kid's class at PCC is going great. We have approximately
6 regular students and some new faces here and there. We'd
love to see your face too, so tell your parents to bring you to
class and we can have some Yoga Fun! Hope you all had a great
Halloween and are looking forward to Thanksgiving Break. See
you in class...Wednesdays 5:30 to 7 pm.
Namaste,
Kate
Howdy!
Well, everyone had so much fun during the summer series that we
decided to make Kid's Yoga an ongoing class!
I can't wait to see you all at the same time and same place. Starting
Wednesday October the 1st we'll continue where we left off. The
class begins at 5:30 and runs until 7pm and is currently coordinated
with two adult classes so the whole family can come and practice. Now
that this is a regularly scheduled class, discount passes will
be accepted. The drop-in rate is $10 per class.
See you soon
